Q&A : Siblings, Dreamweavers

After a completely sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run, Siblings are bringing their most raucous show yet, Dreamweavers to London’s SOHO Theatre.

Maddy and Marina Bye are back as SIBLINGS with a deliriously funny sketch comedy. The award-winning comedy duo and IRL sisters have also just announced their tour across UK and Europe, kicking off in 2026.

Tell us about your comedy style?

I would like you to imagine if Summer Heights High, League of Gentlemen, Ab Fab, Keye and Peel and Tim and Eric all had dinner together.. Then we put them in a blender, ate them and digested them.. That’s what we think. Forgive us for being arrogant but that’s what we think… I suppose you have to believe in yourself as a clo-blend-cacophony of many funny people sometimes.

Some people say we are sketch comedians, some people say we are character comedians, some people say we are musical comedians, some people say we are ill… We are all of the above.

Any advice for those starting out?

Unfortunately, you really do have to not take it so seriously. I know that’s easier said than done but comedians who are actually having a good time on stage, don’t often need to be groundbreakingly good, they are just a pleasure and an honour to watch. It’s a weird one because it does take a lot of work to get there but in the end, if you are having a good time, the audience are too. They are there to laugh so we really should be too (we sometimes have gotten in trouble for doing that too much on stage so pick and choose those moments).

One of the biggest things we’ve learnt from doing our first gig, to doing 6 Edinburgh Fringes, is to find the people who are not out to compete against you but want to work with you. We are all in the same boat and the support you can get from other performers is profound. Being the cheerleader for other people rather than the guy who is trying to win the race can get you so much further.. And it’s a lot more fun.

What’s your show about and where can we see it?

Have you ever had a nightmare? Would you ever want to live it for 50 minutes.. Then come to our show..

Joking, but sort of not, make that decision for yourselves, here’s what it’s about… Join world renowned scientist Dr Gargle and one work experience, Raph Bamghi (don’t ask). They have invented a helmet that allows you to see your dreams in front of you Live On Stage… It’s a raucous, wild ride into the Subconscious with lots of lab coats. It’s a sketch show, inside your mind. It’s definitely our best show yet.

You can see it ON TOUR in January in: Edinburgh. In February in: Manchester, Leicester, Amsterdam. And for a WEEK in London’s Soho Theatre. In March in: Brighton AND AUSTRALIA. In April in: Bristol. And forever more…

Who are your favourite Funny Women?

There are FAR too many funny women to mention and praise be we wouldn’t be here without them but to name a few… We’re talking French, we’re talking Saunders, we’re talkin’ Mz Wood, We’re talking Michelle DeSwarte, Kate Berlant she’s giving Demure shes giving Autumn, We’re talkin’ Adefope, Katie Norris, Chloe Petts, Sam Nicoresti, Frankie Thompson, Kemah Bob (she’s giving salt), Catherine O’Hara and for the neat little bow, Mz Coolidge.

What do you love about comedy?

The two of us would sit in an empty room for potentially 3 days.. coming up with nothing. Suddenly, out of the madness, something is said that makes us wheeze with laughter for the next 3 days, we finally decide to put it on paper and a sketch is formed. This process is so painstakingly hard but incredibly fulfilling once we’ve found that comedy GSpot (are we allowed to say that?)

We are real life sisters and there are times where we have such weird humour that nobody else could possibly find funny but we decide to put it on stage and low and behold a pocket of random people completely understand our sick and twisted minds. You can’t feel closer to humanity than sharing that experience and feeling accepted because we are absolute freaks. We love that the world is full of freaks too.

You can keep up with SIBLINGS on Instagram and Facebook.
