Comedian and presenter Ellie Taylor is set to host two brand new shows for Channel 4. The 2017 Funny Women Awards mentor will be dealing in separating the truth from the lies in one show and playing cupid in another.

The four-part series You Won’t Believe This will see members of the public try to prove themselves at sleuthing as they listen to a selection of unbelievable stories from supposed suspects and decide which one is telling the truth. The contestants will work with police detectives as they interrogate the suspects in a holding cell, presumably Taylor’s task will be to keep things lighthearted…

Taylor’s next project with Channel 4 is a two-part show called Let’s Make A Love Scene, single people will be coached through love scenes by an intimacy consultant and acting coach in order to star in their own rom-com.

The contestant will perform three sexy scenes with three complete strangers, after which they must choose one of their co-stars to go on a date with and find out if the on-screen chemistry was just acting or the first sign of true love…

Taylor said: “I jumped at the chance of getting involved in both these shows and I’m super excited to be working with C4 and Talkback to bring them to life – what better way to put my match making and my detective skills to the test.

“Here’s hoping to some winning amateur detectives as well as red-hot chemistry between our singletons.”
