The BBC has announced that Daisy May Cooper’s new comedy thriller is called Am I Being Unreasonable? The filming on the six-part series has now finished and co-stars Cooper as Nic alongside Selin Hizli as Jen.
They are joined by Spaced’s Jessica Hynes and Dustin Demri-Burns. Cooper’s Nic is a woman suffering a deep loss that she can’t share with anyone, all the while trapped in a depressing marriage with only her son Ollie bringing her any joy. New arrival Jen turns out to be a kindred spirit, will their friendship make Nic’s dark secret come to light?
Cooper said of the show: “So excited to be writing this with my best friend and the funniest person I know on a subject that I think sums us up perfectly: toxic friendship.”
Executive producer Jack Thorne said: “Working with Selin and Daisy on this has been a joy. The way they’ve managed to balance joy and truth, funny and real, it’s been a brilliant education for me as a writer. And the less said about that dead cat the better.”
