2016 Funny Women Awards finalist, writer and podcaster Rosie Jones has won Attitude Magazine’s Comedy Award! Rosie tweeted: “I’m proud to be disabled and I’m proud to be gay but most of all I’m just proud to be me. This award winning little lesbian is so full of love…and alcohol.”

Attitude is the UK and Europe’s best-selling LGBTQ+ magazine. Attitude said: “Rosie Jones hopes to provide the visibility that was so lacking for her as a disabled, gay child”

Rosie told Attitude: I fight for all minorities, and I still think we’ve got a problem of intersectionality. I feel like I’m the only disabled, gay woman going, ‘Hello, we’re here, I want to be present and in the media, so that if a little disabled girl out there is going, ‘Why do I want to kiss girls?’ They can turn on the telly and go, ‘Oh, it’s OK.’”

Congratulations Rosie!
