Catherine Cohen: The Twist…? She’s Gorgeous

This is a fast show, delivered by an energetic performer with no trace of shyness or lack of confidence, despite what Catherine Cohen’s lyrics may describe.

The Twist…? She’s Gorgeous is a very tight show, where epic cabaret songs are combined with confessional chatter, with high levels of oversharing. It’s over the top and flashy, with all the sequins, glitter and gold even your dingiest cabaret spot is deserving of. And that’s not even only on the surface, as it all comes pouring out of the performer, voice and burps alike!

Those with lower attention spans may not notice the underlying darkness of the comedian’s material, where lyrics describe self esteem, neurosis and breakdowns are all on the table, but your mood can never slump too hard has it’s all accompanied by fun tunes and an engaging performance.

A weekly slot at Club Cumming in New York is experience enough for a flawless performance from an impeccably, polished artist. Can’t wait to find out where we’ll see Catherine Cohen next!
