Registration is now open for the 2019 Funny Women Awards!
The search is on to find the next Funny Women Awards winners and we have space for you, whether you’re a comedy performer, aspiring sitcom writer or filmmaker, the Funny Women Awards celebrate, support and showcase your talent!
If you’re planning on entering our Stage Award then you will want to know about some changes we’ve made. This year we are asking you to submit a five-minute YouTube clip of your stand up. There’s no need to get a film crew out to your next gig, we aren’t judging the quality of your mate’s filming skills, but the quality of your comedy.
From these clips, with some help from our panel of industry professionals, we will select who we want to see in our live heats to be held across the UK and Ireland in May and June. Hurry though, the submission window is only until 30th April for the Stage Award.
We are super stoked to announce that our brand new partner for the Stage Award is Sky! Talking about the Award Morwenna Gordon, commissioning editor, Sky Comedy says,

Registration is also open for our Comedy Writing and Comedy Shorts Awards and you have until the end of July to get your scripts and films to us. Make sure you commit to entering by registering and then you have time to get your work together.
Our Best Show Award, is for those of us who have seen a brilliant show that deserves recognition so this is by public nomination. You can also nominate your own show (once!) and ask your audiences to vote for you.
Before you sign up for any of our Awards, be sure to check our entry requirements and don’t forget to get cracking if you plan to enter our Stage Award – the video submission window closes on 30th April.
