You might be sad to know this is the latest series of the hit Netflix show Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is its last, but according to co-creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock haven’t closed the door on the tenaciously sunny character yet.
The pair told The Hollywood Reporter that while they’ve been instructed by Netflix to be “coy” about any suggestion of a film in the works, Fey confirmed that the idea of a Kimmy Schmidt movie “is definitely a possibility.” Fey said the film would “… be a freestanding thing, if we do it.”
Carlock added, “We believe there are more stories to tell, and hopefully there will be an announcement about that soon.”
Ellie Kemper, who plays Kimmy said, “I know we might go on to be doing a movie and I hope that that happens — I know it’s not definite.”
