Winner of BBC New Comedy Award 2017 and So You Think You’re Funny 2016, Heidi Regan brings her debut show to the Edinburgh Fringe. In Heidi vs Sharks Heidi is a self-confessed ‘slow burner’ this is true, as Heidi gently pulls you into her comedic world.

Showing great confidence for a first show, Heidi steers us through the niche world of shark film history which runs alongside her personal history and quirky insights. Heidi effortlessly relaxed the audience in her witty company. This show is filled with twists and surprises as well as quirky takes on the cult film industry.

Heidi also fearlessly tackles material on personal feelings, giving us a greater insight into her world. Heidi has a natural unassuming manner and presents herself as an insightful thoughtful performer in this carefully constructed show. Heidi’s approach to comedy is an original one, rather than delivering a scattergun attack of hard-hitting comedy, Heidi presents herself as one of us and allows us to gradually get to know her and her comedy landscape. This is an effortlessly quirky show which flows with sparky wit and shows great potential for a bright comic future.
