If you have been off work (or to America lately) watching TV there’s a good chance you caught a couple of life insurance adverts (which come with a tempting carriage clock thrown in, thanks June Whitfield, or whoever is doing those ads now) and maybe a pharmaceutical advert.
Some of these ads drive filmmaker Hannah Berry George up the wall: “They make up illnesses, create fear and conveniently provide a solution.” But she didn’t get mad, or medication, she got busy and made a parody about these commercials!
Check out Hannah Berry George’s latest sketch, parodying the ridiculousness and greed of the pharma industry, “It’s profit driven, not care driven.”
