Phoebe Waller-Bridge has confirmed that the multi-award winning Fleabag will return for a second series. The comedy writer said she is planning to shoot the next series in November for broadcast in 2018, telling the Radio Times “We are all trying to make it work and have the same team back”.
Having promised only to write another series if a good enough idea came up it seems Phoebe has had a lightbulb moment, but she has yet to reveal any new plot lines. We don’t even know if Olivia Colman will be returning as Fleabag’s artist step-mum.
Fleabag has already had quite the journey, beginning as a one woman show at the Soho Theatre and the Edinburgh Fringe then becoming a hit BBC Three show.
