We love a bit of Bosh & Babbs. After all, they’re former Funny Women Awards entrants. We called them ‘ones to watch’, and now there’s a bit more of them to see.
The duo have just unveiled their first comedy web series, OBSESSED: The Unwanted Side Of Fame.
It’s a ‘mockumentary’ – that special kind of satire that hits a little too close to home sometimes. As you’ll see, some of that intro footage didn’t even need to be set up.
Bosh & Babbs play Jade and Gemma, pop fans who pursue their fandom (and idols) from Gemma’s bedroom. There are a couple of cameos from Maude Hirst and Alice Levine, boosting the female comedy considerably.
Kick off your binge-watching with episode one:
There are five episodes. Clocking in around 21 minutes, they’ll take you less time than one show on Netflix. Heck, you could watch the whole thing in less time than it takes to listen to an All Saints Album.
It is creepy – creeeeepy – how well these two act. You’ll watch most of this doubled over with cringe, but somehow you still won’t want to turn it off.
Crazily, the show has come full circle and blended back into the real world. In OBSESSED, Gemma and Jade are on a quest to meet Shaznay Lewis. Shaznay has herself given the show a thumbs up on Twitter. You made it, girls!
