2008 Funny Women Awards winner Katherine Ryan and Katy Brand are two of the comedians involved in Sky’s new round of comedy shorts. Comedy Bites will air on 4th June at the Cat Laughs Festival in Kilkenny. You will then be able to watch them online and on Sky Arts.
The shorts all have an Irish theme. Katherine’s episode features the comedian travelling to Ireland for her nephew’s christening where her Irish relatives pray for the atheist single mother.
The comedy short is directed by Katy Brand and is produced by Sharon Horgan’s company Merman. Katherine’s sister Kerrie Ryan also stars in the short alongside Michael Fenton Stevens, Marcia Warren, Tom Knight and Isabella Aleppo.
