Michelle Gomez, who plays the female incarnation of the Master in Doctor Who, cracked us up as Sue White in Green Wing and is about to feature in a new HBO series, The Brink, with Jack Black, stars in a new online comedy series called Heather’s American Medicine playing the title role of an agony aunt giving advice to America with the help of Wildseed Comedy.
In each episode Heather deals with problems that might seem straightforward but, not one to hold punches, Heather just can’t help herself and deals with each in her own special, acidic way.
The truth is Heather reflects us all – part rational, part emotional, part reason, part animalistic – but her hell bent determination to suppress all inner derives makes for great “break out moments” when they just cannot and will not be denied any longer!
In fact Heather is so afraid that her moral weakness could identify her for the flawed character she really is, that her neurotic over compensatory mechanism challenges others to be better with a fevered passion she’ll never relate to. Freud would be pleased.
