Last night we were at the 2015 British Comedy Awards rubbing shoulders and sharing sushi with the best in British comedy. It was a great evening for funny women, we chatted with Katherine Ryan, spoke with Sandi Toksvig, nattered with Nina Conti, blabbed with Bridget Christie and congratulated Aisling Bea.

Jonathan Ross resumed his hosting duties of the 25th British Comedy Awards and as usual no one was safe from his sense of humour, including brother Paul Ross. Joining him on stage were some TV favourites, GoggleBox stars the Parkers were treated to a drink from comedian Joe Wilkinson to keep them hydrated as they presented their award. Dynamo wowed us and Daisy Lowe with his card tricks and Joey Essex managed to master the autocue.

As always the new king or queen of comedy was announced and many of the audience were surprised to see Jack Whitehall be crowned for a third time. Steward Lee heckled the King’s acceptance video with calls for Jo Brand to be crowned queen. Jack’s dad informed his son and us he wasn’t impressed and had voted for Lee Mack. As for us we would love to see a new queen of comedy!

We are excited to announce we have a 25th anniversary British Comedy Awards poster to give away to one lucky comedy fan. It is signed by some of the best talent in British comedy, including Jo Brand, Matt Berry, Jack Whitehall, Steve Pemberton, Reese Shearsmith, Katherine Ryan, Aisling Bea, Bridget Christie and more! To win tell us who won Best Female TV Comic? e-mail info@funnywomen with British Comedy Awards poster in the subject line.

We had our roving reporter Kate Lennon backstage interviewing the winners and presenters of the night. Look out for the exclusive here film soon!
