Whether your idea of fundraising is about getting on your bike or a walk in the park there's a way for you to help raise money for the wonderful charity Refuge. The charity helps women and children escape from domestic violence, providing shelter and assistance to rebuild a new life free from abuse. Refuge is working towards a world in which domestic violence is eliminated.
You can help them achieve this by raising money to keep the Refuge shelters going by joining Team Refuge!
If you love to cycle then there is still time to register and take part in Nightrider on the 6th and 7th June. Ride the moonlit streets of London on a 100km route that takes in famous landmarks such as Tower Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral and the London Eye.
Pick from two different starting points, Lee Valley Velopark or Crystal Palace, you can also choose to cycle the shorter 60km route. When you register to take part in Nightrider you will receive a free Refuge t-shirt, a fundraising pack full of tips on fundraising and reaching your target as well as nutrition advice and a training plan. If travelling by foot is more your thing then you might like to take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon for Refuge on Sunday 11th October 2015. The 13.1 mile run begins and ends in Hyde Park and covers some of London's most beautiful Royal Parks.
The popular event attracts up to 16,000 runners and to join them sign up here! Refuge runners receive a free Refuge t-shirt, a fundraising pack jam packed with tips on how to raise money and smash your target, nutrition advice and a full training plan and even one on one support from the Refuge team.
