In a way, she already is – we’re thrilled to find out that Sandi Toksvig has just been named President of ‘Women of the Year’.
The Women of the Year assembly is the largest of its kind in the world, and it holds an annual Lunch & Awards. Sandi has been the compère for that event for over a decade. That long-standing association and her many other achievements make her the obvious choice for President. She takes the position following Baroness Helena Kennedy QC’s term ending last year.

At Funny Women, we’re obviously big supporters of the work that Women of the Year does. And I don’t think it’s letting the cat out of the bag to say that we collectively adore Sandi Toksvig. As such, this news has us delighted. We can’t wait to see what developments are made and who claims the awards during her reign.
