We asked Katie to describe how she feels about making it to the final:
"I started amusing my family and classmates at a young age by impersonating my teachers and various characters from 80s sitcoms. In 1987 I disappeared up to my room in a huff where I stayed for several years reading Viz and listening to radio comedy and bad rock music.
"It was at this point I was inspired to start writing a hilarious Adrian Mole-style diary, which was intended never to be read by anyone. Whilst a student I was lucky enough to see the then emerging comedians Jo Brand, Bill Bailey and Eddie Izzard and just 20 short years later I decided to give stand up a go myself.
"Since April 2012 I’ve been lucky enough to perform all over the world. By ‘the world’ I mean London’s darkest pubs. Funny Women has supported me since the start so being in the final this year means a lot to me."
