We always select a charity to benefit from awareness and fund raising as we travel around the UK each year with the Funny Women Awards. This year we are proud to be working with Refuge, which supports women and children who are affected by domestic violence.
Refuge is committed to a world where domestic violence is not tolerated and where women and children can live in safety. The charity aims to empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from violence and fear. They provide a range of life-saving and life-saving services, and a voice for the voiceless.
Not only do we donate £1 from every Awards registration to this worthy cause, but we also have collection buckets at the first round heats, and we’ll be running raffles at the semi-finals. Our final on Monday 23rd September isn't known as the Charity Final for nothing! Funds raised on the night will be donated to Refuge, and there will be an extra special raffle with the addition of glittering prizes!
Even if you aren’t taking part in this year’s Funny Women Awards you can still help us raise funds for Refuge. Luckily, in this technological day and age, it's very easy.
