Last year’s Funny Women winner, Miss London, has properly crossed over into the mainstream with an exciting new role presenting the programme links on CBBC.
This has been the 21 year-old comedienne’s first week of presenting and she has already ‘gone live’. She describes the experience as “crazy and extremely exciting.” Her first week has seen her dress up as a grandma and engage in a staged water fight. Miss London said: “I’m truly honoured to be following in the footsteps of the likes of Angelica Bell and Andy Peters and I’m loving every single minute of it!”
Miss London has enjoyed incredible success since winning the competition last year and we’ve no doubt her stint on the BBC will showcase her great talent and further raise her profile.
I’ve not watched Children’s BBC since the days of Philip Schofield and the broom cupboard and Gordon the Gopher and… the classic Friday Films (anybody else following me down nostalgia lane?) but I’ll most certainly be up at 8am tomorrow to check out Miss London. If this is a little ambitious for anyone else who cherishes their Saturday morning lie-ins, try catching the rising star on iPlayer.
