Resolve to watch more Pure & Weary in 2017

Every January, I make some New Year’s resolutions. By February, I’ve usually given up on most of them. ‘Change my hairstyle’: achievable. ‘Try not to cry while eating chocolate, because it’s ruined too many onesies at this point’: not so much. While I was wondering what to work towards this year, a new and timely […]

YAS KWEEN

When we need a lift, a stonking good female (or ‘girl power’) anthem is just what we need. There have been plenty of definitive musical statements by queens of pop over the years. Single Ladies. Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves. No Scrubs. I Will Survive. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Today, we can add […]

I’m sorry, I love you, Pure & Weary

I have a confession to make. Over the Valentine’s weekend, the lovely Pure & Weary sent me their latest YouTube video. I completely missed that email. I am a terrible person with a neglected inbox. This is my very public apology to these funny ladies, and your chance to see that video clip. I’m sorry […]

Law & Order: Pure & Weary

One such YouTube video dropped into the Funny Women inbox this week. It’s a Law & Order parody by Chicago-based female comedy duo Pure and Weary. […]
