US-based stand-up Chloe Radcliffe will be making her Festival debut this year with Cheat, admitting a guilty secret that most people keep to themselves forever: that she’s cheated in almost every relationship she’s ever had. From an exciting dalliance with a strange FedEx delivery man who wanted to have sex with her bike to her relationship with her hippie parents.
Fiona Allen, perhaps best known as star and co-writer of Emmy and BAFTA-award-winning TV series Smack The Pony, is performing her first ever stand-up show On The Run at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. Covering family, marriage, sex robots, passive-aggressive school mums and supermarket dress codes.
Gabby Killick is bringing her fourth, brand-new, solo show Conversations With My Agent to the Fringe, after three previous sell-out shows – Game of Thongs, Girlfriend from Hell and The Bitch is Back. Gabby delivers uncomfortable, twisted and hilarious multi-character comedy, much to her agent’s horror.
Former data scientist and now New York-based comedian, writer and humourist Ginny Hogan is making her Edinburgh debut with her show Regression. As a self-confessed maths nerd, despite being miserable doing maths for a living, she decided she could get everything she wanted by 30 if she used the right data and equations.
Njambi McGrath returns to the Fringe this year with her new show OutKast, following last year’s highly commended show Black. Outkast is about using past rejection as the motivation for success. Some are driven by money, others fame, McGrath is driven by pettiness.
Following her well received debut Fringe hour Life Of The Party last year, Sikisa is back at the Fringe this summer, and wants you to Hear Her Out. In her up-beat and powerful hour, she asks: why is it so hard to say the right things?

WHAT KIND OF FILM ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
A 1- 6 minute film that can take the form of anything comical. It’s a great opportunity to show us your creative flair and have fun!
WHO CAN ENTER?
This award is open to all women filmmakers and content developers. The film must be an original narrative created, produced and devised by a woman, or women, although male cast and crew members are allowed.
ARE THERE ANY ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR MY FILM?
Yes – we require all films to be 6 minutes or under, to be entirely original dialogue, to not feature brand logos and most importantly, to only use music with the written consent of the performer and/or publisher either personally or via the PRS system https://www.prsformusic.com/ .
WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH MY FILM?
We will broadcast selected entries on our Funny Women YouTube channel and social media (so keep an eye out) and the top 10 finalists’ films will also hosted on a dedicated Funny Women Comedy Shorts Awards page on our website. We will also broadcast the final 3 entries as part of the grand final night.
HOW IS IT JUDGED?
Films are judged for production, concept, delivery/performance, creativity, writing and overall funniness. The top 10 films are then viewed by an independent judging panel of top television and film industry professionals who will choose one overall winner and two runners up. The final three will be invited to attend the grand final in London on the 23rd September.
