Funny Women Comedy Shorts Award winner Rosalie Minnitt and four of our fabulous Glitter Challengers join a comedy line-up at Founding Mother’s event to help support Centenary Action’s Mission 2028 –  a gender equal Parliament.

Centenary Action was established by Helen Pankhurst CBE, granddaughter of Sylvia and great-granddaughter of Emmeline, in 2018 to mark the centenary of some women getting the right to vote and to take action over the following 10 years to deliver a gender equal parliament by 2028. Driven by this mission, and the historic responsibility, they have established themselves as the leading voice for women’s political representation, having created a coalition of over 200 organisations, business leaders, politicians, academics and activists, with a reach through our partners of millions of women and girls.

This Thanksgiving, Centenary Action are hosting a fundraising event celebrating the Founding Mothers, the women who fought (and are still fighting) for gender equity in Parliament and beyond. You can expect an inspiring company, connecting with like-minded women and allies, delicious grazing boards (with a cranberry twist!), and a Suffragette-inspired auction. And a powerhouse line-up hosted by the hilarious Charlotte Evans that includes appearances from Jojo Maberley, Funny Women Awards Winner Rosalie Minnitt and Glitter Challengers; Donna Easton, Harriet Minter, Jaz Ampaw-Farr and Beverley Bunn, headlined by the fabulous Shazia Mirza!

This event takes place in partnership with Funny Women and is proudly hosted by Orega.
