It’s been 15 years since the iconic comedy duo’s sketch show That Mitchell and Webb Look was last on our screens. And now they’re back, reunited in a brand new sketch show Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping, with an ensemble cast of fresh comedy writer/performers, including: Lara Ricote, Stevie Martin, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Krystal Evans.

After years of sketch shows becoming sparser on TV, with commissioners opting more often for dramas and sketch surviving mostly online only, this show feels like a resurgence of sketch comedy to the big screen, a format which birthed many British comedy legends.

The show is packed with brand new characters and scenarios, poking fun at game show formats, airport security and therapists’ offices.

Of the writer/performers who star in the show are Lara Ricote – winner of Funny Women Stage Award 2021 and Fringe Award for Best Newcomer in 2022, Stevie Martin – star podcaster, viral on Tik Tok and 2025 Taskmaster contestant, and Krystal Evans – BBC New Comedy Award 2022 finalist, and has appeared on BBC’s Comedy Underground and Scot Squad.

You can catch Mitchell and Webb Are Not Helping on Channel 4 this Friday @ 10:00 PM
