Funny comes in many different forms and writing a good article is a great way to generate some laughs if you are nervous about performing. Do you want somewhere to showcase your humorous stories?
Our Magazine pages feature exclusive content for those of you who’ve joined Patreon to support us and we’re looking for new contributors who want to entertain our community.
The additional income created by our Patreon subscribers supports the development of new female and non-binary comedy talent and the wider community including those of you in the workplace who want to be more visible and have a stronger voice.

If you fancy being a Funny Women contributor, here’s a quick guide of what content we are looking for and how to submit:
- Impartial reviews of any shows that are appropriate for our audience – 250-300 words maximum. Please note that we can’t publish reviews that you’ve written about your own show! If you want to be considered as a regular reviewer for Funny Women please email info@funnywomen.com with ‘I want to write reviews’ in the header. Include your contact details and we will arrange a call to discuss this with you. This is unpaid but we do get offered media guest passes so if you’re a comedy fan and want to feed your addiction, this might be an ideal role for you.
- Q&A features if you have something to promote like a tour or festival show – email info@funnywomen.com, put ‘Q&A request’ in the header and we will send you the questions.
- Comment articles about a topic close to your heart, as long as this is comedy related. This could be about how you devised a show, wrote a script, got signed by an agent, took part in a festival or a funny story… as long as it’s personal and readable we will consider this for publication. Maximum word count is 750 and please send to info@funnywomen.com as a word document, complete with your headshot and a short 50-word profile so that we can feature you as a contributor.
Please note that we are currently unable to pay for content but you can promote yourself as a contributor and whatever you’re doing as part of this collaboration. We will offer you as much guidance as possible in return for helping us keep these pages active and fun.
Get writing! This is a great way to build up your journalistic portfolio and we can’t wait to see what editorial talent is out there!
