Comedian Athena Kugblenu will be recording a show for BBC Radio 4 this month, addressing the subject of class.

In the show, entitled Magnifying Class, Kugblenu will examine her own class identity. Does her conservatory, aluminium hooded extractor fan and quilted loo roll in both toilets signify that she’s a working-class girl done good? Or does society’s rigid take on class require a rethink?

Will the fabric-softener using comic be able to come out as upwardly mobile? You can find out at Up The Creek comedy club in Greenwich, South London, on 30th March, free tickets are available from the BBC.
