Luisa Omielan, Andrew O’Neill, Eleanor Morton, and Kat Sadler are among a raft of talent who announced on social media that they have been commissioned by BBC Radio 4 in a recent round of comedy commissioning.
Luisa Omielan is set to record a radio version of her live show God Is A Woman, which tackles how religions have omitted women from their history. Omielan tweeted she was “So happy!” and took the opportunity to invite anyone to book her for TV and radio shows, Dawn French was among her fans congratulating her on the social media platform.

Andrew O’Neill shared that their four-part “occult sitcom” Damned Andrew will air in the 6.30pm weekday slot in spring or summer 2022. They will be making the show with Tom De Ville.

Eleanor Morton has also scored a show, sharing: “Very excited to say an idea I’ve been working on has been commissioned for Radio 4 next year! Still sorting out the final details, but hopefully can say more soon.”
