This year’s Max Turner Prize has been won by actor and comedian Madeleine MacMahon. The competition, run by the Cavendish Arms in London went online this year due to COVID-19.
Reaching the final as a wildcard, Madeleine wins £250, beating out competition from fellow finalists Kate Cheka, Louisa Keight, Kate Martin, Josh Chiswick, Amy Walsh, Phil Henderson, Chloe Driver, Phil Green and Troy Hewitt.
On her win Madeleine tweeted: “I mean……I can’t even. All of the praise to Dave & Shirl @ComedyVirgins if you didn’t already know, the @CavendishArms in Stockwell (South London) is full of the best (and best dressed) souls and I want to live there please. #cvmt21 I’ll reply once I’ve stopped crying.”
