Funny Women

We have the perfect self-improvement activity for you now that Lockdown 2 has begun. Forget any banana bread or sourdough plans you might have had and learn how to get into TV comedy with our friends at Grand Scheme Media!

This course provides you with the inspiration and insight you need to create saleable comedy for the TV and Content business. Over two sessions find out how the TV comedy industry actually works, how to write funny stuff, how to script edit and package your work, and how to sell it.

Your talent is a given but you can only succeed in selling a script if you understand the market, study how the business operates, and ensure you get your script to the right people at the right company at the right time. This is a primer in understanding the business and how to get the most out of your creativity.

The sessions are presented by Graham Smith and Mark Robson, founders of Grand Scheme Media. Together they have produced, developed and commissioned comedy for all the main terrestrial channels, as well as creating comedy for Sky Atlantic and Dave. They continue to work with indies and broadcasters to devise and package new comedy content for the screen.

We have an exclusive discount code for the Funny Women community, use IntroToComedyCode for £10 off when you book here!

If that wasn’t enough Grand Scheme Media have also given us THREE free places on the course exclusively for Funny Friends. Drop us an email to editor@funnywomen.com and places will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.
