Funny Women

As a company that deals in live comedy and workshops that take place IRL, the events of 2020 caused us to rethink how we approach our many activities. The natural solution was to move everything but the kitchen sink online, which is not a simple manoeuvre.

We spent lockdown finessing our product, using our comedy and television production know-how to create a package that balances the live experience with the online reality that we think is worth sharing with companies now.

At Funny Women we pride ourselves on empowering women to perform, write, create and do business with humour. Even though we now have to do this by socially distancing, working from home and, even facing total lockdown again in some parts of the world, we see no reason why we
should let the virtual ball drop!

Consider thinking ‘inside the box’ and give us your entertainment or workplace Christmas party brief because, if we can come up with solutions to keep our own business going, maybe we can help yours too?

If you want to bring a bit of seasonal cheer to a team that can’t be together and reconnect your co-workers, but you can’t face another Zoom quiz, then a shared comedy experience might just be the thing. We can help you plan some online social interaction with workshops, teambuilding or panel
discussions and even mix your teams up with some of the funniest women from our community.

Our team has 18 years of curating comedy for live and filmed events so if you would like us to create a bespoke entertainment event featuring household name comedians, that can be live-streamed into your colleague’s work laptops from a fabulous venue, please get in contact. We really have done all of this and more over the last seven months so let us share our expertise with you.

Funny Women founder and chief executive Lynne Parker says: “Coming from a public relations and marketing background I know how powerful comedy can be in the workplace to convey a key message and communicate this to your stakeholders.

“Using humour makes you memorable and right now creative collaboration and a few laughs is a force for good. We are already working with brave clients to produce great events and initiatives that we will all remember for years to come.”
