The BBC has bought HBO Max romantic comedy anthology series Love Life. The ten part series stars Anna Kendrick and will air on BBC One.
Anna Kendrick plays Darby and, as you might expect, Love Life is the story of a woman’s romantic entanglements, with each half-hour episode, narrated by Mum’s Lesley Manville, tells the story of a different relationship.
Sue Deeks, the BBC’s head of programme acquisitions, says: “Love Life is so engaging and relatable – I am sure BBC viewers will really enjoy witnessing all the romantic experiences the characters go through in the series.”
The show also stars Zoë Chao, Peter Vack, Sasha Compere and Jin Ha. It’s produced by Lionsgate Television and Feigco Entertainment. The series is from creator Sam Boyd who co-show runs with Transparent’s Bridget Bedard. Boyd and Bedard serve as executive producers alongside Anna Kendrick, Paul Feig and Dan Magnante.
