Dawn French is donning her dog collar once again for Comic Relief in a one off special for The Big Night In on BBC One. We last saw Geraldine Granger in 2015 in another Comic Relief special, taking part in the (m)ice bucket challenge and vying for a bishopric.
Dawn French said: “I’m back in the dog collar, back in the vicarage and back on your telly. Be there or go to hell. Literally I have some sway.”
A spokeswoman for the BBC said: “Until recently the Vicar of Dibley was self-isolating in the confectionary aisle of her local supermarket. But she is now back in her vicarage, from where, on April 23, she will deliver a message of hope.”
Guess who's back in the dog collar!⛪@Dawn_French returns as the Vicar of Dibley in a one-off sketch for #TheBigNightIn with @BBCCiN. Word on the street is she was last spotted self-isolating in the confectionary aisle 🍫
