This year’s Women in Film and Television Awards took place last Friday at London’s Park Lane Hilton Hotel, the ceremony saw the best of film and television come together to celebrate the year’s most inspiring and talented women in the industry.
The ceremony was hosted by the ever brilliant Sandi Toksvig and supported by headline sponsor Sky. Actor Juliet Stevenson was awarded The EON Productions Lifetime Achievement Award, she tweeted: “Completely blown away to have received this award from @WFTV_UK today. Thank u so much for such an incredible gift & for bringing us all together 4 a fabulous celebration of the power & creativity of women across the industry. Had an amazing day & feel so honoured”
Other winners included Fleabag actor, writer, playwright and director, Phoebe Waller-Bridge who was awarded The ScreenSkills Writing Award; director and screenwriter, Rungano Nyoni who won the The Netflix New Talent Award; and Lucy Ainsworth Taylor and Angela Barson, who picked up The Barclays Business Award as co-founders of VFX company BlueBolt.
