Funny Women

We last saw American comedian Carmen Lynch at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe in a boiling hot room where she made us laugh so much we nearly vomited, she also joined us for some of our lunchtime shows at the Gilded Balloon. So we are very excited that Carmen is back in the UK, we caught up with her for a quick chat about her show, the UK comedy scene and controversial subjects…

Funny Women: How long is your tour in the UK and where will you be performing?

Carmen Lynch: It’s about two and a half weeks. I’m starting with both of the Comedy Store clubs (London, Manchester) and then at The Bill Murray and The Stand (Edinburgh) with a few others in between. They’re all listed on carmenlynch.com.

FW:  Your last (hilarious) show addressed a lot of controversial subjects, is there anything you won’t joke about?

CL: So far it’s all on the table. You all seem to take it well. (Thank you.)

FW: What do you think about the live comedy scene in the UK?

CL: I love it. That’s why I keep coming back. Please keep giving me a visa.

FW: What’s next for you?

CL: Some Spanish stand up in Spain.  Maybe a little Spanglish actually.

FW: Who are your favourite funny women?

CL: Maria Bamford and Eddie Izzard.
