BBC Radio Two is to pilot a comedy panel show, hosted by Sara Cox called What If..? that invites guests to envisage alternative versions of our history. The show questions what if events, as we know them, had taken a completely different turn? What if famous individuals had made completely different choices? How different would our world be if we had journeyed down these paths not taken?

Producers say the show is “a comedy show version of the Gwyneth Paltrow movie Sliding Doors”. Panelists Grainne Maguire, Dr Adam Rutherford and Rylan Clark-Neal will be asked to consider proposals such as: ‘What if Brian Cox had stayed playing keyboards with D:Ream?’ or ‘What if Jeremy Clarkson had never passed his driving test?’ and ‘What if Pippa Middleton had married Prince Harry?’

The one-off episode of What If..? will be recorded in London next week at the Museum of Comedy on Tuesday 6th March and is expected to be broadcast in April for the 10.00pm slot. For tickets click here!
