Funny Women

2012 Funny Women Awards finalist, Amy Gledhill makes up one half of surreal, Yorkshire-based comedy duo The Delightful Sausage. Their debut show, Cold Hard Cache received rave reviews at the Edinburgh Festival and this February they are bringing their unique brand of gag-heavy, nonsense to the Soho Theatre for three nights only!

Amy’s first ever gig was at a Funny Women Awards heat in Manchester, where she kept her coat on out of fear. She’s finally decided she’s staying, ditched the coat and adopted a far more glamorous… sausage costume. When asked the story of said costume Amy joked, “I didn’t read the small print.” The use of the absurd costume is more than a visual gag, it adds to the underlying sense of joyful, anarchy found in the show.

The show itself is a ludicrous take on an ‘Internet Skills’ presentation, delivered in a style much akin to the likes of Vic and Bob or The Mighty Boosh. It is fast paced, physical and refreshing. Ed Fest Magazine described it as, “One of the best adverts for modern alternative comedy you could ever wish to see.”

Don’t miss out! Cold Hard Cache is on at the Soho Theatre from Thursday 1st February to Saturday 3rd February. For tickets and more information click here!
