2009 Funny Women Awards winner London Hughes announced on Twitter that she is going on some dates – and we’re coming along too! London is taking part in E4’s Celebs Go Dating.

London tweeted: “So yep the secrets out guys! I’m in the new series of E4’s ?#CelebsGoDating!! I cannot wait for you to see me on dates every night!! I’m so excited! Coming to E4 next year.”

This is not unfamiliar ground for the presenter and comedian, London wrote the BBC Radio 4 sitcom 28 Dates Later. We expect London will shake up the E4 series and refuse to shy away from any subject.

In her Edinburgh show London Hughes: Superstar (it’s just nobody’s realised it) she addressed the sexism and racism she has endured in the industry and her search for role models. Earlier this year London told Newsbeat: “I didn’t think I could be on TV because there were no black girls on TV.

“Not only is there not enough representation but people genuinely don’t get it.

“I’ve been in situations where make-up artists have put hot chocolate on my face because they didn’t have any make-up for black people, which in 2012 when it happened, is ridiculous.”

London will be be joined by:

Gemma Collins – Towie star and social media sensation

Tallia Storm – Singer and Brookyln Beckham’s ex-girlfriend

Jade Jones – Olympic gold medallist in taekwondo

Mike Thalassitis – Love Island star and social media influencer

Sam Thompson – Made in Chelsea star and brother to Louise Thompson

Ollie Locke – Made in Chelsea star and owner of dating app Chappy

Jonathan Lipnicki – Actor best known for starring in Stuart Little and Jerry Maguire
