Fans of Victoria Coren Mitchell’s radio series Women Talking About Cars will be pleased to learn that BBC Radio 4 has ordered another series.
The show features Victoria chatting to guests about the cars they have owned in their life – or, as the BBC puts it “using cars as a vehicle to share memories” with Victoria and her guest taking “a comic look at life, love, sex, work, childhood, adulthood and adventure”.
Producers of Women Talking About Cars said: “At the heart of the show is an exploration of what cars symbolise to women today, including freedom, power, refuge, novelty and familiarity. Her first car, her worst car, her favourite car, the journeys she’s made, the journeys she hasn’t, the people she’s met en route…”
Past guests of the show include Dawn French, Olivia Colman, Sarah Millican and Germaine Greer. As with the first series the show will be recorded in front of a live studio audience who will be invited to share their own car related memories.
Sheila Hancock is the first guest who will be recording her episode on Wednesday 24th May – you can apply for tickets here!
