Ayesha Hazarika, MBE, began her career as a stand-up comedian playing clubs across the country before becoming a special advisor to the Labour Party, working for Gordon Brown, Harriet Harman and Ed Miliband. Since then Ayesha has written for the FT, Guardian, Evening Standard, New Statesman and Grazia as well as becoming a familiar face and voice on TV and radio with her political commentary.
Last year Ayesha made a welcome return to her stand-up roots and her one-woman show Tales from the Pink Bus was a sell-out hit at the 2016 Edinburgh festival. Now with her show State of the Nation Ayesha lifts the lid on what life’s really like behind the scenes at Westminster with brutal honesty and humour and asks what’s next for British politics.
Ayesha will be kicking off her State of the Nation tour this April at London’s Soho Theatre. For tickets and more information click here!
