Joe Lycett and Elis James are leading a fantastic line up of comedy talent at this month’s Laughing Point, a fundraising gig in aid of the youth homelessness charity Centrepoint. They will be joined by Dane Baptiste, Suzi Ruffell, Lou Sanders and a very special guest host at The Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, on Monday 23rd January.
Live at the Apollo and 8 Out of 10 Cats star Joe Lycett has said: “Youth homelessness is a scourge and it’s getting worse. By helping vulnerable young people we can ensure it doesn’t become a way of life.”
Founded in 1969, Centrepoint has helped more than 116,000 homeless young people. Centrepoint works with 9,000 homeless 16-25 year-olds each year. Not only do they provide a safe place to stay but also deliver the much needed vital support to overcome physical and mental health problems, access education or employment, and the chance to learn necessary life skills.
Richard Utting, Head of Events at Centrepoint, said: “It’s wonderful to see so many thrilling comedians taking to the stage for us, alongside some great names like Joe Lycett and Elis James.
“It’s going to be a great evening of entertainment, which will ensure homeless young people have the support they need to turn their lives around. We expect tickets to go fast, so grab your friends, family and colleagues and join us!”
Laughing Point is always a good show, don’t miss it and the opportunity to help 1000s of young homeless people. For tickets and more information click here!
