2014 Funny Women Awards winner Jayde Adams has written and starred in a Sky Arts comedy short for Halloween! Bloody Tracy is about a supermarket assistant who struggles with boundaries and comes to a bloody end. Or is it the end..?
Jayde told us: “I had the idea because I was thinking that ghosts are always spotted in quite unobtainable buildings, never in a supermarket and if they did exist wouldn’t they be everywhere? Even the paranormal has a class system it seems! I don’t believe in ghosts yet, not until one surfaces at least!”
The spooky film also features 2012 Funny Women Awards winner Gabby Best as a vegan supermarket worker who decides to dabble in the occult. “Working with Gabby has been a long term plan of mine after I saw her win Funny Women in 2012 and the Marijuana Method is one of my favourite YouTube series. She was an absolute treat on set and I hope this is the start of many more things we’ll do together in the future. She’s excellent don’t you think?”
