If you are a comedian whose forte is combining your comedy with music then you might want to consider entering the WeGotTickets Musical Comedy Awards 2017! The Awards have helped launch the careers of acts such as Frisky & Mannish, Abandoman and Jay Foreman. The MCA Best Newcomer for the 2016 Awards was none other than the 2016 Funny Women Awards Winner, the brilliant Harriet Braine, while the excellent Four Femmes on the Thames won the 2016 Musical Comedy Award.

Musical Comedy Awards

The deadline to enter is 11th December 2016. A panel of judges will select their top 40 entrants and they will go through to the heats stage! The heats will take place from January until March 2016 and decide who will be going through to the Grand Final at the Lyric Theatre, London.

To enter the competition, simply post a link to your original online musical comedy material on the Musical Comedy Award Facebook page  between 1st October and 11th December 2016, and fill in and submit the entry form. Please also read the competition terms and conditions.

The prizes will be £750 for the winner, £250 for the Audience Favourite, plus £200 for the WeGotTickets Best Newcomer. It is possible that the judges favourite (MCA winner) and audience favourite are the same act.
