Can’t make it up to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August? You can still get your comedy fix down south at the Phoenix Cavendish Square, where The Phoenix Fringe is back from Saturday 6th August to Saturday 13th August for the fourth year running. This year they have another fantastic line up including Sara Pascoe, Josie Long, Joe Lycett and Andrew Maxwell. The Phoenix Fringe is an intimate, affordable way to see some of the best comedy acts trying out their new work in progress, giving performances of cult classics – and generally being hilarious.
The Phoenix Fringe is the brainchild of comic and runner of legendary new material night ‘Old Rope’, Tiffany Stevenson who began the Phoenix Fringe to provide a comedy home for an audience in London where acts are encouraged to relax and try something new or different to deliver a proper ‘Fringe’ feel without the pressures of Edinburgh Fringe critics and reviews.
