If you’re in Brighton and trying to pick something to see at the Brighton Fringe may we recommend 2013 Funny Women Awards finalist Viv Groskop’s brand new show Be More Margot.

The show follows her sell out five star show Say Sorry to the Lady and is a work in progress covering the subjects of snobbery, class, Britishness and, of course – the clue being in the name, the TV show The Good Life. All fuelled, apparently, by gin. What could be better? Especially if when watching The Good Life, you felt your sympathies lying more with Margot and Jerry instead of the relentlessly cheery Tom and Barbara.

Viv’s new show is, as you’d expect, sharp and like Margot she takes no prisoners. Viv asks if we should be classless now seeing as we’re ‘all in it together’ or if it’s time to reassert our inner reactionary and Be More Margo? I’d argue yes because it means you get cake and marvellous hosting. Or hostessing as Margot would say.

You can catch Viv’s show Be More Margot on Saturday 21st May at Craft Beer Co. at 8.00pm. For more information and tickets click here!

You can also catch Viv on the Good Ship Benefit, for more information click here!
