This year Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival is absolutely packed with funny women! There are some fantastic acts, so do take a look at the entire line up here, but if you need some help planning your visit to the festival here are some of our recommendations…

Rachel Parris is bringing a musical comedy work in progress to town about not having it all. 2015 Funny Women Awards runner up Sarah Keyworth has a brand new show Through the Banister, which we can’t wait to see.  Sarah will be joined in Leicester by 2015 finalist and musical comedian Tamar Broadbent.

Ones to watch Beard are putting on The Grin of Love and don’t miss 2013 Funny Women Variety Award winners Revan and Fennell.  Also representing the double acts will be 2013 Funny Women Awards winners Twisted Loaf with their hilarious show Stale Mate.

2014 Funny Women finalist Samantha Baines is orbiting Leicester with her scientific work in progress and 2013 runner up Elf Lyons is also presenting a work in progress. Pippa Evans will be shamelessly exploring guilty pleasures and Tiff Stevenson is mad, man. Meanwhile Shazia Mirza is blaming it all on the Kardashians.

Be sure to catch Suzi Ruffell’s new work in progress as well as Jen Brister’s, Ellie Taylor’s and Luisa Omielan’s.

Funny Women Awards winners Suzy Bennett and Katherine Ryan will be in town and Zoe Lyons will be headlining a Gay Comedy Night. Ria Lina will be raiding the taboos and Sofie Hagen is all about the bubble wrap.

Lucy Porter will be getting some perspective and 2008 Funny Women finalist Sara Pascoe is bringing the Museum of Robot Pussycats. Felicity Ward worries there’ll be no toilet and Sarah Kendall will be talking about a day in October.

2014 Funny Women Awards finalist Robyn Perkins is a work in progress and 2012 finalist Viv Groskop wants to be more like Margo. And absolutely don’t miss Cheekykita, Emily Lloyd Saini and Alison Thea-Skot.
