We are delighted to announce that Raised by Wolves writer Caz Moran will be judging the Funny Women Comedy Writing Award! Caz told us: “I’m excited to be involved – I have longed to be a judge my whole life.”

We were introduced to Caz in her sister Caitlin Moran’s memoir How to be a Woman in which we all fell in love with her acerbic wit.

Comedy writer Caz has since written Raised by Wolves with Caitlin, loosely based on their unconventional childhood. When discussing the writing process with Channel 4 Caz said: “We’d hire these businessy meeting rooms where, in other rooms, we’d see people in suits making huge decisions or buying and selling stocks and shares, and in our room we’d be fighting about pants. So that felt quite weird.”

The winner of the writing award will receive a £500 option fee and mentoring from The Comedy Unit as well as £250 worth of Benefit Cosmetics. To enter send us a one to two page treatment, and three sample scenes of a comedy script for television by Monday 10th August. For more information click here!
