In life we never know what is going to happen. We never know how we will respond. We have to make it up as we go along. But as we grow up we are more likely to say “No” than “Yes”, and we forget how to play!

Improv comedy is the art of saying yes…and…???. It’s a universal skill that can be used any time anywhere.

Now obviously you are not going to say yes if a suspected axe murderer asks you to have a look at a puppy in the back of his van!

But in improvisation, saying yes means you can enter an exciting new world full of possibilities. You can be anyone, anywhere, doing anything….as long as you say one simple word….YES.

Through fun games and exercises, you will learn to build a story, learn about status and character, and build on the ideas of those around you.

Through learning the art of improvisation your confidence will soar. You will learn how to use your body language and eye contact to engage with people effectively. And you can learn all of this in Funny Women’s next Improv comedy workshop on Saturday 4th July!

So whether you’re a budding comedy improviser, a stand up comedian, comedy writer, or someone who just wants to have a go, this improv comedy workshop will unleash your imagination, help you to feel the fear, but give you the courage to do it anyway.
