Ladies! Do you all too often find books too hefty, too rectangular, too lacking in pastel colours and simply ill-designed ergonomically speaking for the lady hands to hold? Well we have good news for you! Feminist, comedian and lady Bridget Christie has written a book specifically for women, A Book For Her.
In it, Bridget writes about feminism, what it is and how it is to blame for disasters such as the recession, global warming, terrorism, pandemics, cancelled flights, volcanoes, delayed trains and pedantic health and safety regulations.
You can learn about the feminist view of comedy: “Feminists don’t like humour, except slapstick. Charlie Chaplin, Harold Lloyd, Laurel and Hardy and Bottom are all very popular at feminist comedy nights. Anything that involves men being physically harmed always goes down very well with feminists. They also enjoy watching Tom and Jerry, Road Runner cartoons and war documentaries.”
Bridget also lifts the lid on what feminists do all day: “burn bras.” and what they eat: “Paper. And carpets.”
A Book For Her by Bridget Christie is published by Century and comes out on Thursday 2nd July. To pre-order click here!
