Liz Fraser is one ambitious and brave funny woman! With 10 minutes of stand up experience she is about to write and perform twenty-five one hour stand-up shows at the world’s biggest comedy festival, the Edinburgh Fringe.

As Liz herself says: what could go wrong?

Liz Fraser's Podlaughs

In this podcast series, Podlaughs writer and broadcaster Liz Fraser goes in search of comedy answers.

Liz talks to comedy writers and performers who have made us laugh on television and radio over the past 30 years.  As well as the new generation of up and coming comedians playing bars and theatres, clubs and festivals, to producers, promoters, writers, directors and those nice people who make sure the mics work properly.

Liz wants to know what it’s like to be a comedian, how the circuit has changed in the last couple of decades, how as the internet impacted on comedy and is it harder than ever to break into comedy?

The podcast also covers issues such as political correctness and social media in comedy, saying the unsayable, female comedians, writing techniques, collaborations and stage persona.

Culminating in 3 recordings from the Edinburgh Fringe, with comedy performers and a live audience, Podlaughs is the definitive series about all things comedy – the highs, the lows, the ovations and the rotten tomatoes.

If you would like to take part, promote your work and your up-coming shows, then Podlaughs would love to chat to you. You can contact Liz via Twitter @lizfraser1 or at liz@liz-fraser.com
