The Guardian’s just announced the winners of their Asian Women of Achievement Awards for 2015, and we’re delighted that fellow Funny Women Awards alumni Sajeela Kershi has topped the Arts & Culture category.

Sajeela has some sage advice for other women, whether you’re Asian, white, mixed race or vampire translucent like me:
“Believe in yourself even if no one else does, go with your gut, do what you want and do it your way. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you it’s too late: it’s never too late to make your dreams come true, but you need to focus and work damn hard.”
I don’t know about you, but I feel more inspired today.
