A favourite funny woman of ours Miranda Hart has called time on her eponymous sitcom 'Miranda'. But don't worry, we won't be left in the dark over what happens to Miranda's joke shop, mother, Gary and friends!
We will be able to bid the Miranda cast a seasonal farewell. Miranda told Steve Wright on his BBC Radio 2 show on Thursday: "I'm doing two Christmas specials, but they are going to be the finale of the show, full stop". It is "the right time to end it" in order for the programme to go out "on a high".
Miranda is just as sad as we are to see the programme end, predicting that filming the final two episodes will be "really emotional". However we can be sure of a happy ending (this is 'Miranda' after all) and Miranda hopes her alter-ego will "come into her own" and finally "be happy in herself"
"People have loved the character, which is so nice and amazing for me," Miranda explained: "But as she gets older I don't want her to keep falling over and make a complete fool of herself."
After a successful radio and TV sitcom, an autobiography, a part in the award winning show 'Call the Midwife', maraca fitness and a massive stand up tour what's next for Miranda? "I am thinking about an entertainment format [and] there might be elements of The Generation Game," Miranda revealed: "We're thinking how The Generation Game could possibly work in 2015."
Roll on 2015!
